“Who touched my clothes?”
On the surface it seemed like a perfectly ridiculous question. Uh, several hundred people had touched His clothes. Scores were still touching His clothes.
Today millions are still touching Him. Of course this is a metaphorical touch. He isn’t physically present and wearing clothes for us to touch, but we are reaching out to touch Him just the same.
So, back to the question, “Who touched my clothes.” You see, there is “touching Jesus” and then there is TOUCHING JESUS.” All who touch Him are blessed, but when that touch is born of desperation combined with bold faith the results can be spectacular. (In fact, I would say that they are always spectacular though we might not realize it at the time.)
For this woman, not only was she healed of her sickness but Jesus also blessed her with peace AND, one more thing, people would be talking about and writing about and be utterly inspired by her for the next two thousand years and more.
Someone touched Him and something very special happened.
